Back in 2006, the original Silent Hill movie received not so stellar reviews, bottoming out around 30 percent on both Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes. But because Hollywood believes in second chances, here’s a trailer for the sequel!
Revelation stars Adelaide Clemens as Heather Mason, a young woman whose father goes missing. Harry Mason (Sean Bean) has been taken to Silent Hill, and it’s up to Heather to bring him back from the nightmarish town.
Fans of the Silent Hill games should recognize this plot instantly from Silent Hill 3—slightly tweaked, of course. The game’s original story follows Heather as she returns to Silent Hill after her father is murdered by a religious cult. The young heroine seeks revenge for the death of her father, as well as answers about her childhood, while battling a number of seriously warped creatures.
Silent Hill: Revelation 3d is set for release just in time for Halloween on Oct. 26. It stars Adelaide Clemens, Sean Bean, Kit Harington, Carrie-Anne Moss and Radha Mitchell.
